When you think about Mortimer Farms, what comes to your mind first? I think of the connection to the story of our food. I think family-friendly fun. I think Friday Night Barn Dances. I think grocery shopping re-invented. I think about harvesting food for my family.
I also think of the Country Store, Bakery, and Deli.
A visit to the Country Store is a weekly must for me.
The Country Store is open seven days a week as the Mortimer family and team invites your family to Dewey, Arizona, to buy food right from the farmer! Our seasonal fruits and vegetables (sweet corn ((July-Sept.)), blackberries ((now-Aug)), tomatoes ((now-Sept.)), and 52 more crops) are ripened in our beautiful state's warm sunshine and harvested daily. Our premium, full-flavored beef, and pork are raised right down the road at Mortimer Ranches. Guests will also find eggs, bread, snacks, farm-made sweets, pickled goods, farm-to-table sandwiches, salads, wraps, pastries, fudge, pasta, coffee, tea, sauces, salsa, dressings, and preserves.
Mortimer Farms was forged on the principles of the American farming tradition! We aim to preserve the tradition that takes us back to the days when you knew both where your food came from and the families who helped put food on your table.
We take caring for the environment, animals, and crops seriously. We commit to growing our crops in a sustainable and environmentally friendly way. That means conserving water, recycling nutrient-rich organic material, and planting trees to improve air quality. The bottom line, when farmers do their job right, great food is grown!
We love hosting you and sharing a glimpse of how food is grown, giving you the insight needed to know that the food you are feeding your kiddos is healthy and grown with passion!
In addition to enjoying Mortimer Farms Country Store, your family also has the opportunity to enjoy the beauty, education, and fun that comes with being on a real working farm in Dewey, Arizona. The farm is open to the public to enjoy The Country Store, Farm Park, Animal Encounter, Pick-your-own Experience (seasonal berries and produce), festivals, and more.
As you give your kiddos the experience of meeting a real farmer, visiting a real farm, and harvesting food, you will enjoy harvesting blackberries, eating sweet corn, meeting Pedro the donkey, riding on the Redneck Swing, and much more!
We are looking forward to your family's visit to Dewey, Arizona, to buy food right from the farmer!
